At Pamukkale University Hospital, the 50-year-old patient, who was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and could not even drink water because his esophagus was blocked, was operated successfully.

A 50-year-old patient, who applied to Pamukkale University General Surgery Department with complaints of difficulty in swallowing and weight loss, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer as a result of examinations and tests. 

Thereupon, an operation that could only be performed by a very experienced general surgery team was performed. In the operation, the patient's esophagus was removed and an artificial esophagus was made from his stomach.
The patient who regained his health after the operation told that  “After learning about my illness, I was very sad. I was born again after the surgery. I can now eat with ease before even water could pass through my throat. I am getting better every day. I would like to thank all those who contributed".
